Senior Rail Designer

Chartered Senior Rail Engineer                                                                                Slough/Basingstoke

 

A successful engineering consultancy based in Slough is currently seeking a Senior Civil Rail Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis. You will have extensive experience in the rail infrastructure sector with particular focus on design of track and earthworks.

You will be involved in Rail Infrastructure projects around track, earthworks, embankment stabilisation, culverts, minor civils, surveys and inspections.

You’ll be involved in;

• The delivery of safe, compliant designs under Network Rail standards
• The mentor, support and supervision of other team members
• Overseeing resource planning and skills development across project teams
• Managing rail infrastructure projects from inception through to delivery and ensuring they are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & safety standards
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Network Rail, Tier 1 contractors and other stake holders
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation in engineering delivery

 

What you will need to have;

• Chartered Civil Engineer statues (CEng)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Extensive experience and a proven track record of delivering rail civil engineering projects
• You’ll have a strong technical knowledge of track and earthworks design
• Experience in managing and developing engineering teams
• Knowledge of Network Rail assurance and compliance processes
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, rail specific tools)

The role will be based between Slough and Basingstoke and offers a competitive salary.
