Location: Harlow / Essex – covering London and surrounding areas
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum DOE

The Role

Clemtech is supporting an established facilities and maintenance business looking to recruit an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join its mobile maintenance team.

The role will involve providing multi-trade maintenance support across a portfolio of commercial customer sites, predominantly within London and the M25.

You will attend a range of environments including offices, retail premises, schools and other commercial buildings, identifying maintenance issues and carrying out general repairs across a range of trades.

The role requires someone with previous commercial maintenance experience who is comfortable working independently, managing their own workload and completing a variety of repairs while maintaining a professional standard on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general multi-trade maintenance and repairs across commercial customer sites.
• Complete plumbing maintenance and repairs, including leaks and blockages.
• Carry out carpentry and general building repairs, including doors, handles and locks.
• Attend reactive maintenance jobs, identify issues and carry out the appropriate repair.
• Manage allocated jobs and workload effectively throughout the working day.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts.
• Identify and report any additional maintenance requirements or works required.
• Complete timesheets, expenses and relevant job documentation accurately.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• Previous experience in a multi-trade or maintenance role within commercial environments.
• Practical experience across general building maintenance and repairs.
• Good plumbing maintenance experience, including leaks and blockages.
• Carpentry experience, including doors, handles, locks and general fixtures.
• Experience attending customer sites and completing maintenance work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• Relevant trade qualification in plumbing, carpentry or a related maintenance trade.
• Experience working across offices, retail premises, schools or similar commercial environments.
• Previous mobile maintenance or facilities management experience.

Role Details

Coverage: Predominantly London and within the M25
Travel: Regular travel to customer sites. Travel time is unpaid, with some flexibility around finish times depending on workload and job completion.
Company Van: Provided, including fuel card and parking allowance
On-Call: Approximately 1 week in 6, with additional on-call payment
Overtime: Available but not guaranteed
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence essential
